Holiday Charity & Giving Away <3

Storm Siren Holiday

Happy Holidays, you guys!!!!!

How are you??? (Like REALLY TRULY – how are you??)

How goes the precious / weird / wild / busy season?

I can tell you I’m just now getting into the swing of things (we decorated!!) and am aching to find some snow (Cali beaches don’t quite cut it in the winter department).  I’m also wanting to take some time this week to curl up with hot chocolate and a fire.

And this yule log video that is made of all the win ever…

Um…hello and thank you, Nick.

Along with that ;0), I get to do some fun bookish stuff this month like speaking at a high school (LOVE!), and starting in on writing my next book series (AHHH!!! FINALLY!), as well as a super cool thing involving partnering with A21 for the next few weeks. You might’ve seen it on my other media sites, but I wanted to share it here as well. Because I am ridiculously excited about it this holiday season. <3 <3 <3 Here goes…

Dearestest Preciouses…
Y’all know I can be a bit rabid (about many things, yes, but hush) especially regarding the whole messed up injustice of human trafficking. I speak about it. It’s in every book I write (starting with STORM SIREN – hello Nym’s entire history). I’m also kinda passionate about kind people and charity and giving to others.
THUSSSS… in thinking what I could do this Christmas season, the opportunity arose to partner with an organization I absolutely LOVE – Christine Cain’s A21 Campaign. (A21 rescues and rebuilds lives that have been affected by human trafficking and actively operates with ten offices in nine countries.)
It’s currently estimated there are 27 MILLION people in bondage in our world – with the average age being 12 years old. And only 1-2% of those 27 million victims are ever rescued. (Excuse me while I go swear & cry now. Because SERIOUSLY??!!!)

Sooooo here’s what I’m doing about it:

A21 Campaign and Storm Siren

(1) Wolverine & I will be donating all our royalties earned between Dec 1st – 21st, 2015 on STORM SIREN (every format – ebook, audio, paperback, hardback) to the A21 Campaign. So on every Storm Siren book bought during that time, my financial portion will go toward rescuing others from trafficking. (Doesn’t matter where you buy the book, except it can’t be from a used bookstore, nor a “used” copy like on Amazon, etc. – because the royalties have already been earned in that case.)
(2) I’ve also gone ahead and set up this fancy-dancy fundraising page in case you want to donate direct to the cause. :0)

And here’s the dealio… If you’re interested, you’re welcome to partner with us simply by spreading the word, purchasing Storm Siren as a gift, or just giving a donation through the donate page. Totally up to you.

But thank you for even considering it. <3 I love this world we live in and I love walking this journey of life with each of you. Let’s love on others and make a difference this holiday season, yes? ;0)

P.S. If you want to learn more about the issue of human trafficking, you should totally check out the Human Trafficking page on the A21 website.

Oh and PS – thought I’d add this…

I’m always getting asked during this season about books I’d recommend as gifts!! So here are a few of my favorites if you’re interested! <3

Augh! No snow down in Orlando, FL either. “White Christmas” is barely in my vocabulary. Ah, ph well. I’m still hanging in until March when Siren’s Song comes out. In the meantime, I will definitely check out the books you recommended.

I could curl up on the couch with a hot chocolate and a book. Well- I could if I wasn’t so busy, but I hope I can fit that in soon. Sounds delightful!

    Awesome charity/fundraiser! Wow! :)
